Join us to help shape the future of clinical homecare

Patients want the option of Clinical Homecare services. The NCHA seeks to enhance patient’s experience of homecare and make Clinical Homecare services available to all patients who want to access them. The homecare industry is facing a period of considerable change in regulation. Consistent implementation of the new regulations is essential to minimise risks associated with the changes and to enable all of us to continue to deliver safe, efficient and seamless, integrated services.
In this meeting we address the implementation of the Falsified Medicines Directive and General Data Protection Regulations to ensure a common understanding and minimise the opportunities for patients to receive inconsistent messages from homecare organisations. NCHA has be highlighting the need for robust future planning of aseptic compounding capacity. We start this meeting with an update on the NHSI initiative to address aseptic compounding capacity.

We will give a short update on partnership working between NHMC and NCHA and progress of our workstreams – including actions arising from previous FMD and GDPR workshops and plans for a new Clinical Workstream to focus on nursing and other clinical services

Followed by the main topics of the meeting:-

• Aseptic Manufacturing Capacity – quantifying the challenges.

• Impact and implementation of Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD) in homecare.

• Privacy information for homecare patients. Update on aligning interpretation and standardising the implementation new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) across all Homecare Organisations (NHS, Pharma and homecare providers).
