To help improve understanding and shed light on the benefits of Clinical Homecare, the NCHA is pleased to launch a new report, ‘Best Kept Secret: the value of Clinical Homecare to patients, the NHS and society’. The report has been steered by an independent panel of experts from the NHS and beyond. It has been authored by ZPB Associates with economic modelling and analysis from Edge Health.

Clinical Homecare: Powering the 10 Year Health Plan

Clinical homecare is already helping to deliver on key NHS priorities – from reducing pressure on hospitals to supporting people with long-term conditions to live well at home.

To evidence this impact, the NCHA has worked with partners across the NHS to develop a series of key case studies. Together, they show how clinical homecare is improving patient outcomes, freeing up vital NHS capacity, and strengthening care in the community.

As the report shows, Clinical Homecare can significantly enhance patients’ lives, enabling them to maintain independence, sustain relationships and pursue work or education. Clinical Homecare also provides substantial benefits to the NHS and wider society. Despite this, Clinical Homecare remains absent from long term NHS plans, resulting in a significant missed opportunity.
