Homecare GDPR guidance published

NCHA publishes Impact of the General Data Protection Regulation in Clinical and Medicines Homecare Services and Frequently Asked Questions. NCHA has worked with NHSE, ICO and NHMC to prepare these documents and would like to thank colleagues from those organisations who helped in the drafting and review of these documents. The FAQs cover information for NHS Trusts and Homecare Providers and, we understand, there are no plans for a separate NHS Homecare FAQ document. NCHA will continue to work with NHMC and NHSE Commercial Medicines Unit to minimise duplication of efforts as we ensure good contractual governance for NHS Homecare Medicines Services.
NCHA will also liaise with NHS Scotland, NHS Wales and HSCNI to discuss a standard approach to implementation of GDPR in homecare services each of the home nations.
