NCHA welcomes this report in that it recognises the significant efforts made by homecare providers to provide high quality and safe homecare services for the 640,000 active homecare patients receiving homecare services. GPhC recognises that homecare medicines services are complex and involve various healthcare disciplines and professionals working together. GPhC also recognised that homecare medicines services face several challenges when delivering service to patients, many of which are outside of the immediate control of the provider.
NCHA looks forwards to engaging fully with the cross-sector initiatives required to further improve patient experience of homecare services.
