The NCHA Chief Nurses Group has been focussing on the sustainability of the workforce in clinical homecare.

Last week our Chief Nurses Group delivered a national, multi-stakeholder workshop to explore the inclusion of alternative clinical roles in Clinical Homecare. Led by Jo Upton, the workshop reviewed draft industry standards, job description and risk assessments that have been formulated to provide a governance framework for Healthcare Support Worker roles in Clinical Homecare.

With expert input from Robert Brooks, National Programme Manager for NHS England, the workshop explored training, development and competencies for the Healthcare Support Worker roles in Clinical Homecare.

There was fantastic engagement from all participants that will ensure that Jo Upton, Carol Mccall and the project team can ensure that Clinical Homecare Services remain fit for the future!!
